Privacy Policy — OS Launcher: Icons & Themes

This Privacy Policy explains how OS Launcher: Icons & Themes (the “App”) handles information when you use it. The App is free and is provided as is. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Summary

•           The App is a home screen launcher. Most of what it uses, such as your installed apps, widgets, themes, and settings, stays on your device.

•           Optional features (weather, search, voice input, and others) ask for permission only when you use them.

•           We do not sell your personal data, and we never publicly disclose sensitive data such as financial or payment information, government ID numbers, photos, or contacts.

•           Third-party services built into the App, such as Google Play Services, may collect limited information as described below.

2. Permissions and How They Are Used

The App requests the permissions below only for the features described. You can deny or revoke any of them in your device settings, but the related features may then stop working.

Gets your precise location to show and notify you about local weather.

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Gets approximate location when precise location is not available.

ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION

Lets the weather forecast feature keep your forecast up to date. It is used only for weather and not for any other purpose.

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES

Shows images in the gallery and lets you find images through universal search.

READ_MEDIA_VIDEO

Shows videos in the gallery and lets you find videos through universal search.

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

On Android versions below 13, accesses photos and videos for the gallery and media search.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

On Android versions below 11, lets you save or delete media files in the gallery.

MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Lets the file search feature find and manage files across your device’s storage.

READ_CONTACTS

Lets universal search find your saved contacts.

READ_CALENDAR

Lets universal search find your calendar events.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Sends weather alerts and schedule-related notifications.

RECORD_AUDIO

Uses the microphone to turn your speech into text in the AI chat feature. Audio is used only when you start voice input.

Accessibility service

Displays a floating pop-up with weather, alarm, and music notification controls. We do not collect or share any user information through this service.

Device Administrator

Used only for the device-admin features you choose to enable.

Search results from your contacts, calendar, files, and media are shown to you on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers.

3. Information We and Third Parties May Collect

3.1 Information kept on your device

Information you enter or generate in the App, such as launcher layouts, themes, preferences, and search queries, is stored on your device and is not collected by us.

3.2 Log data

If the App encounters an error, third-party tools may collect “log data.” This can include your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, the app’s configuration at the time of the error, the date and time of use, and other diagnostic statistics.

3.3 Third-party services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These include Google Play Services (see the Google Privacy Policy). These providers have their own privacy policies, which govern their handling of data.

4. Built-in Entertainment Features

The App may include entertainment features, such as web dramas and mini-games, that run in an internal web browser (WebView).

•           Shortcuts. With your action, the App may place shortcuts on your home screen to open the Drama and Game sections. These are features of the App, not separately installed apps.

•           Content. Content in these sections is owned by us or used with permission.

•           Local storage. Your watch history, game scores, preferences, and progress are saved on your device using WebView cache, DOM storage, and cookies. We do not upload or store your viewing or gameplay data on our servers.

•           Advertising. Ads shown in these sections may use cookies to collect information and improve their services.

5. Cookies

The App does not use cookies by itself. Third-party code and libraries in the App, including advertising within WebViews, may use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You can accept or refuse cookies through your device and browser settings, although some parts of the App may then not work.

6. Service Providers

We may use third-party companies and individuals to help provide the App, perform services on our behalf, or analyze how the App is used. They can access your information only to do these tasks and are required not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

7. Third-Party Software and Services

•           The App may offer or connect to software and services provided by third parties. Those third parties may require you to agree to their own terms.

•           We cannot guarantee the security, accuracy, or effectiveness of third-party services and content, whether they come built into the App or are added later, and to the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty for them.

•           Any dispute between you and a third-party provider must be resolved between you and that provider.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices

You can deny or revoke permissions, disable the accessibility service, turn off notifications, change or remove the App as your default launcher, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App at any time in your device settings. You can also contact us to ask questions about your information.

10. Links to Other Sites

The App may contain links to other websites. If you follow a link, you leave the App and go to a site we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, so please review their privacy policies.

11. Trademarks and Disclaimers

All product names, logos, brands, and trademarks not owned by us belong to their respective owners. Names used in the App are for identification only and do not imply endorsement. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or officially connected with any third-party apps or companies.

12. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Please review it periodically.
